The 2024-25 season of the Fund for Irish Studies includes the following events:
- September 27, 2024 — “James Joyce’s Ulysses in New York: A Counterfactual View from Fifth Avenue,” a Lecture by Robert Spoo, Leonard L. Milberg ’53 Professor in Irish Letters at Princeton
- November 15 — “A History of Ireland in 10 Poems,” a presentation by Paul Muldoon, Howard G.B. Clark ’21 University Professor in the Humanities at Princeton
- December 6 — Conversations with Abbey Theatre: Artistic Director Caitríona McLaughlin and Jen Coppinger, Head of Producing
- February 7, 2025 — Conversations with the Abbey Theatre: Literary and New Work Director Ruth McGowan with Associate Artist and actor Derbhle Crotty (tickets required)
- February 21 — Irish novelist Colm Tóibín reads from his work (tickets required)
- March 20, 5 PM at Labyrinth Books — Author Niall Williams reads from his work (no tickets required)
- March 21 — Author, critic and scholar Fintan O’Toole delivers the annual Robert Fagles Memorial Lecture (tickets required)
Events are free and open to the public.
For Spring 2025 events, free tickets will be required. Reserve tickets through University Ticketing.
All events begin at 4:30 p.m. in the James Stewart Film Theater at 185 Nassau St. in Princeton, New Jersey, unless noted otherwise.
